By 1838, according to the Deed Book F, page 288, in the McMinn county Courthouse, Sarah Witt sold 80 acres of land to Willis Wright, “except one acre where the meeting house now stands.” Both Sarah and Silas Witt signed the Deed.
Both Cate and Witt families are mentioned in the July 1819 record as well others in the meeting taking place on Mouse Creek in Mr. William Witt’s home.
